Summer Reflections...
Its been another busy summer for the Goold clan.
One of the notable highlights being the completion of Boot’s Barn... All
hands were on deck to get the job finished in time for a summer party! John
has been touring Kent and Cornwall with his Stanley. Then on the August
Bank Holiday, the family steamed the sentinel up to Shrewsbury (140miles)
to help celebrate their 50th Anniversary rally. An enjoyable weekend of
road runs, a trip to the original waggon works and to top the weekend off
we were awarded the cup for the “The Best Waggon” by the Mayor.

Away from the Workshops!
Our summer calendar is always packed with events.
Many members of the family are involved in various organisations and enjoy
attending rallies and meetings to share time with friends, customers and
of course to chat with other enthusiasts about their passion for steam.
All of this comes alongside the maintenance and care of our own vehicles
with many an hour spent cleaning, repairing and improving the Sentinels
and Stanleys to ensure they remain in a sound working order.
There is always a project on the go 'down the garden', but it’s all made worthwhile on those warm summer evenings when our partners, nieces and nephews show up with a picnic and of course a much appreciated crate of beer!

And into the country...
Steam ups and day trips become a regular part of
family life from early spring onwards and our vehicles can often be seen
driving through the small towns and villages of the Mendip Hills and Somerset
Levels. These roadruns have become something of a family event as sons,
daughters and grandchildren all lend a hand to make them a memorable and
enjoyable outing.
